Boa sorte!

New Looking Drums.

Hello friends, many of you might remember reading a report last year I wrote about a set of drums a good friend gave to me and I re-covered these drums. You might recall they we’re Pearl DLX drums from the 1980’s and I was given them in a not so complete with parts missing and a badly damaged finished. Through a company called “Bum Wrap” who takes a very high computer scan of wood finishes and transfers them to a thin piece of laminated paper and I must say the outcome is very impressive to say the least.

So the Pearl DLX I refinished in a Bubinga Fade in the first photo: 10″, 14″, 16″ 22″

This week I decided to refinish a set of drums I gave to my son who helped me with the process and this project was to me the on to share with you and strongly suggest that if you have a set of drums that you like the sound and your not able to invest thousands of dollars in a new set or maybe you have an old set of drums you want to bring back to a new look then consider this option.

To cover this set of drums in what is called a Flame Maple with Walnut Inlay, the total cost for this project was US $190.00

It’s something to think about because the printing technology has advanced and also consider that you could also design your own custom finish as well so think about maybe a graphic design from your bands artwork and the beautiful thing is that there’s no glue so you can carefully remove this finish and change or return to the original finish if you desire.

Good luck!
